Job summary

GH Engage is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own a ground-up high-rise residential project in New Jersey. Ideal candidates are hands-on builders from a GC background with 5–10 years of experience managing ground-up residential developments.

You will serve as the operational lead, coordinating with executives, superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and ownership teams to drive project success from preconstruction through closeout.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of construction management experience.
• GC background required.
• Strong understanding of NJ/Tri-State operations and logistics.
• Ability to lead both office and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, cost control & buyout processes.
• Management of CPM schedules, sequencing & two-week look-aheads.
• Oversight of subcontractor procurement, coordination & performance.
• Leadership of Project Engineers, APMs & field teams.
• Management of RFIs, submittals, change orders & client reporting.
• Oversight of safety, quality control & compliance standards.
• Client-facing leadership throughout all project phases.
• Close coordination with field operations to maintain schedule and productivity.

We are partnering with a well-established Tri-State General Contractor with a family-led, developer-builder approach and a strong track record delivering ground-up high-rise residential developments throughout the region.

With a growing pipeline of work concentrated in Hudson County, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of a ground-up high-rise residential project.

This role is ideal for a hands-on builder from a GC background with 5-10 years of experience managing ground-up residential projects.

The successful candidate will act as the operational lead on the project, working closely with Executive Leadership, Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and ownership teams to drive successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full lifecycle project delivery from preconstruction through closeout
• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, cost control & buyout processes
• Management of CPM schedules, sequencing & two-week look-aheads
• Oversight of subcontractor procurement, coordination & performance
• Leadership of Project Engineers, APMs & field teams
