Job Description: Project Manager (Skyscraper Experience)
Location: Miami, FL

Job Overview

I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction of skyscraper projects in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing large-scale, high-rise construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of skyscraper construction, and the ability to coordinate a diverse team while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Lead and manage the execution of skyscraper construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant safety and building codes.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
  • Identify potential risks, issues, and challenges that may impact project delivery and develop proactive solutions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to track progress and address any concerns.
Skyscraper-Specific Expertise
  • Oversee the complexities associated with high-rise construction, including structural challenges, MEP systems, safety protocols, and other technical aspects specific to skyscrapers.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and adhered to throughout the construction process.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies used in skyscraper construction.
Team Leadership & Communication
  • Lead and motivate a project team, ensuring clear communication across all departments and disciplines.
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, budget status, and any significant changes or risks that may arise.
Quality Control & Safety
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce strict adherence to safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure all construction activities meet the required standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing large-scale high-rise or skyscraper construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and techniques specific to skyscrapers.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex project logistics.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of building codes, zoning laws, safety regulations, and permitting processes.
