Job summary

Entrokey Labs is seeking a highly organized Project Manager to join a fast-moving, cybersecurity startup. You will manage multiple internal infrastructure build-outs and external client-facing projects, turning uncertainty into plans and action.

A strong background in project management tools, governance, and reporting is essential. The role supports the GM & SVP, National Security and requires US citizenship and an active security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 4-8 years relevant professional experience in national security/Federal government space.
• Must be US citizen; current U.S. Secret security clearance; Top Secret preferred.

Project Manager

Location: Washington DC metro area

The Role:

Highly organized, detail-oriented Project Manager to work as part of a small, fast-moving team in a rapidly scaling start-up which is advancing the state-of-the-possible in cybersecurity. The ideal candidate is a generalist with 4-8 years experience and superior expertise with project management tools & techniques to create order out of chaos and provide decisionable visibility for executive leadership. The PM will apply their skills to multiple, concurrent internal corporate infrastructure build-out initiatives as well as tracking and support to external client-facing projects. The PM will be key to supporting the GM & SVP, National Security in turning uncertainty into plans, plans into action, and action into results across a portfolio that will shift over time from internal to more externally focused projects.

The Requirements:

• Act as the single source of truth
• Maintain awareness of project scopes, schedules, budgets, and evolving requirements
• Pull everyone together; track timelines and deliverables; coordinate across teams; and make sure the work actually moves forward
• Apply project management methodologies, work management platforms, and project coordination tools
• Bring high proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office products (Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Excel, and Project), as well as Jira and Salesforce.
• Create Gantt charts, pivot tables, and other visualizations and reports across datasets for tracking, status, and decision purposes
• Complete honesty in what you know and what you don't
• Superior oral and written communication skills for clarity of stakeholders and to support development external/internal papers and presentations
• Experience with proposals a plus, as position will support bid and proposal activities with data, charts, write-ups, and key information

Minimum Education and Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree plus 4-8 years relevant professional experience in national security/Federal government space
• May substitute 8-10 years military or civilian experience for degree if can demonstrate strong relevance/similarity to role; engineering or applied science degree or background may be helpful to understanding our business
• Must be US citizen
• Must have current U.S. Secret security clearance; Top Secret preferred
• Must be local to metro DC area and able to be in northern Virginia office several days a week

Helpful Notes:

• Demonstrated high-energy, high-ownership performer
• Prior military with time as an action officer or executive officer at a command should translate in sense of urgency, scope of responsibility, and rapid adaptability
• Prior project manager/assistant PM in defense industry should translate in knowledge of business operations, financial tracking, and contract reporting requirements
• This is not an admin role, but you will manage the mundane-to-complex as required of a small team and help the GM & SVP track strategic goals down through tactical actions and back up to visible results and meaningful progress
• Expertise in national security and/or defense industry
• Understanding of software development lifecycle helpful
• PMP not required nor desired; this role has no direct reports
