Job summary

Pratt is seeking a Project Manager to collaborate with the sales team, account managers and clients to move programs from concept to delivery. This role emphasizes customer service and daily communication about order needs and essential information for success.

You will coordinate internal and external partners, maintain production specifications, manage BOM and pricing accuracy, participate in continuous improvement efforts, and provide backup support to other project managers when needed.

Job description

Summary:

The Project Manager works with the sales team, account managers and clients to facilitate program execution from conception through delivery.The primary focus of this role is one of customer service that communicates directly with the customer (internal or external) on a daily basis as it relates to order needs and other essential information necessary for success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates with sales, client and plant operations for back end execution that may include, tracking of purchasedmaterials, inventory status and sales order entry if necessary.
  • Provide Client Services all necessary documents to create manufacturing production specifications and submit, if applicable, through clients’ system or to contract fulfillment partners.
  • Maintain relationships with supply partners for sourcing of materials
  • Customer reporting as required or other inventory related requests.
  • Maintain and handle all client job files in appropriate manner.
  • Participate in customer tracker meetings/calls and be responsive to any unforeseen customer needs.
Other Duties:
  • Facilitate with Account Manager all required design approvals from the customer.
  • BOM completion / pricing accuracy.
  • Participates as needed in continuous improvement efforts including cost saving ideas.
  • Provide backup support to other project managers if necessary, including training of new personnel.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility to assume other roles when work schedules necessitate movement of staff to other positions.
Qualifications:

This position requires fundamental computer skills.A background in display and packaging is required.Milestone management capabilities coupled with holistic thinking/approach enabling pro-active decision making. Proven ability to adapt and solve problems when obstacles, scheduling or otherwise, present themselves.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills are required in this role.The ability to deliver professional verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization, including directly to the customer is a requirement.This would include the ability to delivery bad news from time to time and show the initiative in providing a possible solution for the customer to consider.

Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.Minimal travel either to plant sites or customer meetings.
