Job summary

PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Stafford - Institute of Technology
Salary: Circa £52,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience
Hours: 37 hours per week, full year

The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full‑time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers. Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.

We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to provide operational leadership for the Advanced Manufacturing Technical Excellence College (AMTEC) programme. Working closely with the Vice Principal, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating and driving delivery across a hub and spoke partnership model, ensuring the programme achieves its strategic objectives and delivers meaningful impact for learners, employers and stakeholders. The postholder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective programme and project management arrangements, ensuring strong governance, financial oversight, performance monitoring and risk management across all aspects of the AMTEC programme. Working collaboratively with delivery partners, employers, spokes and key stakeholders, they will translate strategic ambitions into operational delivery plans, ensuring all partners are aligned to agreed outcomes, milestones and funding requirements. In addition to leading the successful delivery of the AMTEC programme, the Project Manager will support the wider College Group through the development of high‑quality bids, funding applications, business cases and proposals that secure external investment and support institutional growth, innovation and employer engagement.
