Job summary

TAI is seeking a Project Manager to drive capital improvement and major maintenance initiatives across multiple production facilities. You will lead projects from concept through startup, coordinating engineering, operations, contractors and stakeholders to deliver improvements in plant performance and reliability.

This role offers high visibility, responsibility for budgets and schedules, and collaboration with maintenance, operations and external vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Project Manager in chemical manufacturing.
• 8+ years experience in or around a manufacturing/process industry setting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical will be considered).
• Travel up to 50% of the time to other plants.
• Cross-functional work with Maintenance, Operations, Contractors, etc.
• Ability to manage contractors and vendors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and execution of capital and maintenance projects from inception to turnover.
• Coordinate scoping, design reviews, and CAPEX documentation.
• Construction, commissioning, startup and qualification activities.
• Track and improve asset utilization and maintenance costs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance parameters.
• Manage multiple projects per client procedures within scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate engineering activities and resolve technical problems.
• Monitor budgets and schedules and prepare periodic reports.
• Coordinate reviews of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and external resources.
• Conduct project meetings and communications with stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed project cost estimates and schedules.

Here’s a Glimpse Into Your Day To Day

• Oversight, coordination and execution of capital and maintenance projects from inception to turnover to user groups, including project scoping, preliminary and detailed design and review, CAPEX document development and approval, construction/installation, commissioning, startup and qualification.
• Track, analyze, and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc. Identify and lead continuous improvement activities.
• Management and successful execution of multiple projects using client procedures and industry best practices to the agreed upon scope, schedule, budget and technical quality.
• Coordinate all technical activities on assigned projects. Responsible for having an awareness of and ability to recognize technical problems.
• Monitors project budgets and schedules for trends/compliance to budget and prepare periodic reports.
• Coordinate reviews and checking of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate the efforts of engineering support groups and external resources such as vendors, consultants and contractors.
• Conduct project meetings and effective communications with user group and project stake holders.
• Prepare detailed project cost estimates and schedules

You’ll Be a Perfect Fit If You Have

• Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager in a chemical manufacturing environment
• 8+ years of experience working in or around a manufacturing or process industry setting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical will be considered)
• Basic knowledge of design and regulatory Codes and Standards
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to other plants
• Ability to work well cross-functionally with Maintenance, Operations, Contractors, etc.
• Ability to manage contractors and vendors
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Compensation And Benefits

• Pay: $120,000-145,000 annually (depending upon experience).
• Eligible for overtime pay
• Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
