Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
- Lead end‑to‑end project management for AirTrain capital and operational initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, consultants, and external agencies such as the Port Authority.
- Manage procurement processes, including RFP development, vendor selection, and contract administration.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Support stakeholder engagement and public communication efforts as needed.
- Collaborate with clients to develop project scope, cost, and milestones in alignment with PMI standards.
- Oversee project activities, planning, procurement, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
- Restructure and align customer service policies, procedures, and practices to support optimal customer experience.
- Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external partners.
All about you
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or related field.
- Experience or understanding of managing infrastructure or transit projects.
- Knowledge of rail systems, signalling, civil works, and transit operations.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
- Familiarity with New York State and City regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to perform hands‑on field management in varying weather conditions.
- Agility to access infrastructure, including walking on ballast and uneven surfaces.
- Adaptability to support field operations, emergency response, and night/weekend coordination.
