Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.

  • Lead end‑to‑end project management for AirTrain capital and operational initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, consultants, and external agencies such as the Port Authority.
  • Manage procurement processes, including RFP development, vendor selection, and contract administration.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and public communication efforts as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop project scope, cost, and milestones in alignment with PMI standards.
  • Oversee project activities, planning, procurement, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
  • Restructure and align customer service policies, procedures, and practices to support optimal customer experience.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external partners.
All about you
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or related field.
  • Experience or understanding of managing infrastructure or transit projects.
  • Knowledge of rail systems, signalling, civil works, and transit operations.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Familiarity with New York State and City regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to perform hands‑on field management in varying weather conditions.
  • Agility to access infrastructure, including walking on ballast and uneven surfaces.
  • Adaptability to support field operations, emergency response, and night/weekend coordination.
