Resideo in Golden Valley, MN is seeking a Project Manager to lead full lifecycle from concept to launch and post-release support, coordinating with engineering, product, supply chain and operations.
You will track milestones, budgets, risks, and resources, communicate with senior leadership, and drive process improvements in NPI contexts; candidates should have 5+ years of PM experience in engineering or manufacturing.
As Project Manager within Air Line of Business, you will lead and manage the full project lifecycle—from concept through launch and post-release support—ensuring that project objectives, metrics and deliverables are achieved in line with Resideo’s execution model. You will partner with engineering, product management, supply chain, operations and stakeholders to ensure alignment, manage risks, track budget and resources, and continuously drive process improvements.
Develop, maintain and execute comprehensive end-to-end project plans (schedule, scope, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, deliverables) for assigned projects.
Manage project execution in accordance with Resideo’s project execution model, ensuring milestone achievement, metrics tracking and objective attainment.
Track progress against baseline plan: monitor deliverables, schedule, budget, scope and resource usage.
Identify, assess and manage project risks and issues; lead development of mitigation/contingency plans and elevate when required.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, alignment with stakeholders, and adjust plans as needed while working through complex challenges during project execution.
Serve as key communication liaison: provide timely and clear updates to team members, management and stakeholders at all levels. Manage to project plans while holding key functional areas accountable to execution.
Maintain and update corporate/standard project tracking tools, dashboards and metrics; leverage metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Manage resource planning: identify required personnel, allocate resources, monitor utilization and collaborate with functional leads.
Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to project management processes (especially in NPI/new product contexts) to reduce cycle time, improve quality and drive best-practice sharing.
Collaborate cross-functionally (Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Sales) in a matrixed global organization to align priorities, manage dependencies and drive results.
5+ years of project management experience (engineering, product development, manufacturing, firmware, and software or similar environment) with a demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders in a global/matrix organization.
Ability to present to senior leadership and translate complex topics to various audiences, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with standard project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Accolade) and ability to track metrics, schedules and deliverables.
Experience within New Product Introduction (NPI) / hardware/software product development in manufacturing or electronics environment.
Project Management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent)
Experience working globally and across multiple sites/time zones.
Familiarity with platform strategies, product line roadmaps and lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience managing projects in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid environments.
Experience with earned value management (EVM) or equivalent metrics and processes.
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple initiatives concurrently and maintain focus on critical path.
Comfortable working in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and constraints.
Ability to manage change and scope, identify and mitigate risk, and elevate appropriately.
