Job summary

Electric Pump is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional manufacturing initiatives from concept through execution, aligning with operations goals and delivering on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on manufacturing experience, translate strategic objectives into executable plans, and partner across engineering, operations, and supply chain to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or similar operations leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing capital or operational projects in a manufacturing facility.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and manufacturing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and see to completion manufacturing-related projects including equipment installations, line expansions, process improvements, facility upgrades, and new product introductions.
  • Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Track project milestones, costs, and resources; provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Manage change control and ensure alignment with operational priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Ensure projects minimize disruption to ongoing production and support throughput, quality, and safety goals.
  • Apply production management experience to proactively identify constraints, bottlenecks, and risks.
  • Drive standardization, waste reduction, and efficiency gains across manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze KPIs and production data to inform project decisions and prioritization.

Location: Onsite at 8520 Hollander Drive, Franksville, WI 53126

Expected Hours of Work: Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM

Reports to: Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

Electric Pump and its family of companies have been in operation for the last 46 years providing fluid handling equipment to our customers in the industrial, municipal, and environmental markets. In addition, we are the largest pump service organization in the upper Midwest. Electric Pump is comprised of eight locations in seven states with approximately 135 employees. Our offices have a friendly, laid-back environment.

Starnet Technologies was founded in 1995 to provide services and support to the Water and Wastewater industries. Starnet Technologies has since expanded to provide engineering, proposals, estimates, custom CAD drawings, programming, system integration, manufacturing of custom & standard controls, and field services. In December 2015, Electric Pump acquired Starnet Technologies.

The Project Manager will lead cross-functional manufacturing projects from concept through execution, leveraging a strong background in production management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with operational goals. This role bridges engineering, operations, supply chain, and leadership to drive efficiency, capacity growth, and continuous improvement within the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate has hands‑on manufacturing experience, understands productions floor realities, and can translate strategic objectives into executable project plans.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Plan, execute, and see to completion manufacturing-related projects including equipment installations, line expansions, process improvements, facility upgrades, and new product introductions
  • Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
  • Track project milestones, costs, and resources; provide regular status updates to leadership
  • Manage change control and ensure alignment with operational priorities
Production & Operations Integration
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
  • Ensure projects minimize disruption to ongoing production and support throughput, quality, and safety goals
  • Apply production management experience to proactively identify constraints, bottlenecks, and risks
  • Drive standardization, waste reduction, and efficiency gains across manufacturing processes
  • Analyze KPIs and production data to inform project decisions and prioritization
Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all projects comply with company safety standards, OSHA requirements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure quality standards are built into project design and implementation
Leadership & Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers
  • Facilitate project meetings and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong project planning and organizational skills
  • Practical, hands‑on understanding of manufacturing operations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management operations
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Data-driven decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project tracking tools
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or similar operations leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience managing capital or operational projects in a manufacturing facility
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and manufacturing workflows
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent)
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience managing contractors and capital equipment installations
  • Manufacturing facility with regular presence on the production floor
  • May require occasional off-shift or weekend work during critical project phases (with paid overtime)
