Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking a Project Manager to own large-scale electrical projects from estimating through close-out in Ft. Wayne, IN or Toledo, OH.

You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure safety compliance (OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E, NESC), and drive profitability while delivering complex transmission, distribution, or substation work. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in high-voltage/industrial electrical projects, strong technical know-how, and a track record of reliable leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience managing high-voltage or industrial electrical projects (5+ years).
• Strong knowledge of power systems, codes, and safety regulations.
• 2+ years electrical construction/commissioning preferred.
• Leadership and problem-solving with results orientation.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with PM tools.
• Associate's Degree in Business/Construction/Electrical field or equivalent on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Execution across all phases: setup, budgeting, scheduling, cost control and contract interpretation.
• Prioritize safety and compliance through audits and adherence to standards.
• Manage labor productivity, staffing, and material procurement including returns.
• Collaborate with foremen, field teams, engineers, and clients to deliver projects profitably.
• Drive business growth by pursuing opportunities and maintaining client relationships.
• Maintain drawings, field records, change orders and close-out documents.

About the Position

As a Project Manager - You'll take full ownership of large-scale, projects from estimating through close-out. You'll have the autonomy to make critical decisions while working with a collaborative team that values integrity, innovation, and craftsmanship.

Day in the Life

• Lead Project Execution - Manage all phases of electrical projects including setup, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and contract interpretation.
• Ensure Safety & Compliance - Prioritize jobsite safety through audits and strict adherence to OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E, NESC, and company standards.
• Manage Labor & Materials - Take full responsibility for labor productivity, staffing, and material procurement, including delivery, usage, and returns.
• Collaborate with Teams - Partner with foremen, field teams, engineers, and clients to deliver projects efficiently and profitably.
• Drive Business Growth - Pursue new opportunities, estimate targeted projects, and maintain strong client relationships to expand our reach.
• Oversee Project Documentation - Maintain drawings, field records, change orders, and close-out documents with accuracy and timeliness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience & Expertise - (Preferred) 5+ years managing high-voltage (69kV to 500kV+) OR industrial electrical projects in transmission, distribution, or substation environments.
• Technical Knowledge - Strong understanding of power systems, codes, and safety regulations.
• Field Background - 2+ years of electrical construction or commissioning experience preferred.
• Leadership Skills - Proven ability to lead teams, problem-solve, and drive results.
• Software Proficiency - Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with project management tools.
• Education: Associate's Degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or Electrical Engineering/Technology; or equivalent on-the-job experience.

Travel

• Occasional regional travel may be required.
