Lead the team that keeps a federal facility at Fort Meade safe, clean, and running to the highest standard.

At Chimes, our contracts are more than service agreements. They're how we create meaningful careers for people with disabilities while delivering hospital-grade quality to the federal customers we serve. As Project Manager at Fort Meade, you'll own the full operation of a government contract: the people, the standards, the budget, and the relationship with the customer. If you're an experienced hospital executive housekeeper ready to bring that expertise to a mission-driven team, this is your role.

What you'll do
Run the operation
  • Oversee day-to-day contract operations across all shifts, personally observing work to make sure standards are met
  • Build task schedules, staffing schedules, and daily time records based on contract specifications
  • Plan general maintenance and floor care services
  • Inventory and order supplies with Contracts Administrator approval, and keep tools, equipment, and supplies clean and ready for use
  • Maintain key control and complete quarterly key inventories
  • Step in as supervisor when the backup system fails
Own quality and safety
  • Deliver hospital-grade service through a strong quality control program and hands‑on staff training
  • Set inspection procedures and guidelines for supervisors
  • Review and respond to inspection and deduction reports, analyze trends, and drive corrective action
  • Lead safety training and implement safety policies and procedures
  • Keep the SDS book and chemical list current
  • Ensure you and your team meet dress code, hygiene, building, and security requirements
Lead and develop people
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise all staff
  • Train supervisors to contract and hospital housekeeping standards, and arrange vendor‑led training
  • Give ongoing feedback to make sure work is completed accurately
  • Complete evaluations and employee communications on time
  • Partner with HR, job coaches, and community agencies to support and retain employees with disabilities
  • Help plan and implement staff development programs
Be the trusted partner
  • Serve as the main point of contact for contracting officers, facility leaders, and government representatives
  • Attend meetings with government, facility, and customer representatives
  • Accept service requests and fulfill them with Contracts Administrator approval
  • Act on notes, reports, and requests from contracting office personnel
  • Keep payroll and supply costs within budget
  • Take on special projects and other duties as needed
What you bring
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time management experience as a Hospital Executive Housekeeper within the last 5 years, OR 3 years as a full-time Assistant Hospital Executive Housekeeper within the last 5 years
  • Executive Housekeeper Certification through the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) and certified membership in the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) of the American Hospital Association (AHA), with annual continuing education
  • Training in hospital housekeeping procedures approved by the National Executive Housekeeping Association
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all phases of building service management, equipment, chemicals, and their application
  • Knowledge of green cleaning principles and CIMS certification requirements
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, hospital standards, and facility management
  • Knowledge of SDS, fire and safety, hazard communications, and bloodborne pathogens regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (must pass and maintain on the job)
  • Valid driver's license from your state of residence, held for at least 3 years, with an acceptable driving record per our insurance carrier and Chimes DC policy
  • Must be at least 25 years old to drive a 15‑passenger van
