Job summary

Benchmark Construction seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead project lifecycles from bid to completion in Pennsylvania. The role emphasizes coordinating field activities, managing budgets, and ensuring quality while maintaining strong client relationships and safety compliance.

You will oversee documentation, subcontractor coordination, and payments, working closely with the project superintendent to meet design, budget, and schedule targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep knowledge of construction principles, engineering practices, management strategies, and applicable laws.
  • Strong planning and decision-making skills to navigate challenges and keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, uphold top-note quality, and achieve profitability.
  • Exceed client expectations, embodying and enhancing our company’s values and reputation.
  • Coordinate field activities with office and administrative duties for efficient project execution.
  • Lead opening of new projects, organizing start-up paperwork, and guiding projects from groundbreaking to ribbon cutting.
  • Collaborate with the project superintendent to align design, budget, and schedule.
  • Assure timely completion and submission of monthly payment applications, and follow up on payments.
  • Review and oversee the distribution of all project documents, including shop drawings, addendums, and RFIs.
  • Participate in business development activities as required to contribute to the organization’s growth.
  • Demonstrate understanding of OSHA regulations, and monitor, and enforce safety practices.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions, including scheduling, engineering, material control, and admin staff direction.
  • Oversee the quality process throughout the project, ensuring adherence to standards and successful project conclusion.
  • Manage the as-built drawing process and O&M documentation for stakeholders.
  • Prepare documents for the monthly projection process, ensuring payment applications are ready for recording per SOP.
