Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a Metro Detroit construction firm specializing in steel fabrication and erection. The role requires coordinating with design teams, contractors, and owners to deliver safe, on-time projects within budget.

The ideal candidate has PM experience in steel construction, strong communication skills, and proficiency with project management software. This is a full-time, on-site position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.
• 3+ years of PM experience or 5+ years in construction industry in steel fabrication/erection.
• Experience managing projects from $500K to $400M.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safety, quality, schedule, profitability, and customer satisfaction on assigned projects
• Establish and oversee safety plan and enforce a strong safety culture at sites
• Write and/or manage all contracts with customers, subcontractors, and design professionals
• Manage the monthly payment application process
• Supervise and mentor project job site staff
• Initiate and maintain relationships with prime owner contacts and architects
• Lead and conduct investigations and implement corrective actions

Minimum 2 Years experience as a Project Manager

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to fill a opening with a construction company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have Project Engineering experience specifically with structural steel.

Requirements of the Project Manager

• A bachelor's degree in a complementary technical discipline or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum three (3) years of project management experience or five (5) years of overall experience within the construction industry serving either steel fabrication or steel erection sectors
• Experience managing projects with multiple delivery methods ranging from $500K – $400M
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to perform domestic travel up to one (1) year
• Skilled in software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Oracle Primavera (Prolog or Viewpoint experience is preferred), Tekla, and SDS2
