Job summary

SII Group USA is seeking an Aerospace Technical Program Manager to lead engineering development programs from kickoff through certification, production, and customer delivery.

The role blends project management, engineering coordination, and risk management, working with engineering, manufacturing, quality, certification, supply chain and customers to ensure on-time, within-budget programs that meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace or related engineering discipline.
  • 5–10 years of experience in aerospace engineering, project engineering, program management, or technical project leadership.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of product development and engineering processes.
  • Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage aerospace development projects throughout the full product lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action item tracking, and program deliverables.
  • Monitor project performance regarding schedule, cost, scope, quality, and risk.

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.

Job description

SII USA is seeking an Aerospace Technical Program Manager to lead engineering development programs from project kickoff through certification, production, and customer delivery.

This role combines project management, engineering coordination, customer communication, and risk management. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, certification, supply chain, and customer teams to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

This position is ideal for an engineer who has progressed into project or program leadership and is looking to manage increasingly complex aerospace development programs.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Manage aerospace development projects throughout the full product lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action item tracking, and program deliverables.
  • Monitor project performance regarding schedule, cost, scope, quality, and risk.
  • Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams
  • Act as a primary interface between customers and internal teams.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.

Certification & Compliance Support

  • Support projects requiring compliance with FAA, EASA, or equivalent aerospace regulations.

Supply Chain & Production Support

  • Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to support project schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 5–10 years of experience in aerospace engineering, project engineering, program management, or technical project leadership.

  • Strong understanding of product development and engineering processes.
  • Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
  • Experience in aerospace interiors, aircraft systems, structures, cabin equipment, or aviation products.
  • Familiarity with FAA and EASA certification processes.
  • Experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Enovia, or Agile.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and engineering change processes.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing and production environments.
