Job summary

CESO, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in Architecture, Engineering and Construction to lead design and construction across residential, energy, commercial, and public programs.

You will plan, execute, and deliver projects within schedule and budget while coordinating resources, quality control, invoicing, and client communications. You will prepare proposals, manage risk, supervise teams, and lead meetings with clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience directly managing projects in a design and construction related field preferred; 10 years related experience and/or training is required.
  • Professional Licensure (RA, PE, PS, RLA) is preferred.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, Deltek, and Newforma.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals for projects including scope, schedule, fee budget, and negotiations with senior leadership.
  • Accountable for the team’s quality of work, productivity, and actions.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of architecture and engineering projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, managing relationships, expectations, and communications.
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring technical quality and financial performance.
  • Develop and monitor project work plans, including task assignments and deliverables.
  • Prepare contracts, change orders, fee proposals, and client billing.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and client requirements.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Lead internal project meetings and client presentations; prepare progress reports.
  • Contribute to business development, including proposals and interviews.
  • Manage billing and accounts receivable in collaboration with accounting; ensure payment by terms.
  • Supervise direct reports and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Proactively identifies project risks and develops mitigation strategies to address scope, schedule, and budget challenges.
  • Leads internal project meetings and client presentations; prepares progress reports and other project documentation.
  • Contributes to business development efforts, including proposal development and project interviews.
  • Responsible for billing, invoicing the project, and tracking/managing a client’s accounts receivable in collaboration with the accounting department to ensure payment by contract terms.
  • Supervising direct reports is a key responsibility of this job.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
