Springs Fabrication LLC in Colorado Springs seeks an experienced Project Manager to plan, schedule, and direct a range of technical projects within defined budgets and schedules.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, purchasing, and quality control, coordinate resources, manage risks, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with quality programs. Bachelor’s degree required; PMP credential a plus; hands-on leadership in a job shop manufacturing environment preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 1–3 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing complex or technical projects in manufacturing.
  • PMP credential is a plus and strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Act with intention to plan, schedule, assign, and manage project completion processes.
  • Lead resources to achieve project goals, cost control, and on-time delivery.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain project documentation per quality programs.
  • Coordinate activities with production, purchasing, scheduling, and engineering.
  • Prepare status reports for management and clients; resolve commercial/technical issues.

SUMMARY: Manages a varying range of complex technical projects per the contracted scope of work consisting of codes, specifications, and drawings. Develops, plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to ensure that goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or by managing assigned support personnel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Act with intention and urgency to plan, schedule, assign, and manage project completion processes, setting the project’s pace vital to achieving contracted project requirements and schedules.Manages customer expectations and leads assigned personnel to achieve profitable performance within project and department goals.Establishes and communicates work plans to identify required resources to support project goals.Reviews awarded purchase orders, quotations/proposals to understand schedule commitments, funding parameters, scope of work and exceptions taken.Prepares, submits, and maintains the requisite project documentation prescribed by internal and external quality program requirements.Works with internal supporting resources (production, purchasing, scheduling, quality control and engineering) to facilitate the project requirements.Directs and coordinates activities of project resources to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget while driving cost control measures.Implements project control tools to manage project costs, schedules, changes in scope of work and/or schedule, change orders and billings.Prepares and reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required.Prepares project status reports for management, clients, or others.Conferences with project resources to address commercial and technical concerns and to resolve issues.Coordinates project activities with government regulatory or other governing agencies.Directs, manages, and evaluates assigned and/or supporting personnel.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. S.) from four-year college or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Possess and maintain a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional(PgMP) credential is a plus.SKILLS and ABILITIES:Experience in managing complex or technical projects. Additionally, broad technical experience in a job shop manufacturing environment is preferred. This experience should be gained in areas of technical management or engineering and should include the ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and diagrams. Possess a strong computer knowledge and be familiar with standard desktop software.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as calculations, specifications, and coderequirements, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups ofmanagers, clients, and customers. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
