About the Role:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for successful execution of defined project support tasks and daily support of all RDC (Regional Distribution Centers) and MDC (Master Distribution Center) activities as allocated by the Director. The Project Manager will lead the project and support activities and ensure that the business meets customer commitments. The PM will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Customer Service and Supply Chain leaders to provide exceptional service experience for Current's largest and highly valued customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of project implementation from idea concept and initial inquiry through Implementation and Hypercare (post implementation) support, ensuring all customer deliverables are completed on-time and within budget. Projects are not limited to but will include:
  • Support to analyze and streamline daily operations within the business distribution network.
  • Cross functional collaboration and communication to streamline order management and execution processes.
  • Implementation of projects to optimize distribution footprint / network.
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation of projects to reduce system errors to streamline operations.
  • Daily Site Operations Support. Participation in and/or drive daily and weekly site (regional and Master Distribution Centers) Gemba reviews that will include:
  • Driving business OPSD (Original Promised Ship Date) metric via OTS (On Time Shipment) performance metric.
  • Analyze performance issues and implement projects to reduce performance misses.
  • Manage ANS (Allocated Not Shipped) / open SAP Delivery process to drive Same Day / Next Day and Consolidated Shipment processes.
  • Coordinate Inbound Receipt Performance and Container Management processes.
  • Drive Shipping Quality (damage / lost claims) and Returns processes.
  • Drive Inventory Accuracy through daily issues resolution, weekly stock reconciliation and monthly cycle count processes.
  • Support Product Quality excursion resolution, product expiration management and product rework processes.
  • Coordinate site actions to support the business Excess and Obsolete management process.
  • Maintain ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) – Material and Customer Master and Configuration tables maintenance to reduce errors that result in order processing delays.
  • Collaborate with Fulfilment Team to support urgent shipments, project-based shipments that require special handling and order / inventory management to drive customer service / satisfaction.
  • Prepare information and presentations for regular reports and project status meetings; present information to internal and leadership teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year accredited university.
  • Prior experience with project-based work, distribution and logistics, customer fulfillment, and other commercial functions.
  • 5 years' experience working with and presenting to senior leadership teams.
  • 5 years' experience as a Project Manager, preferably in logistics in a lighting or lighting controls industry.
  • Strong understanding of project and operational management methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including virtual and electronic communications.

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of lighting products and systems.
  • Working knowledge of business and financial fundamentals.
  • Prior experience and/or willingness to work virtually with team members that are not co-located.
  • Ability to coach and train new team members.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
