Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a PROJECT MANAGER for Electrical Engineering to drive customer-facing projects from initiation through delivery in a hybrid onsite role in the United States. Expect 25% travel to customer sites and company locations, with accountability for schedule, budget, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of related PM experience, with SCADA knowledge and strong MS Office tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate project priorities, scope, resources, and timing of deliverables with stakeholders and customers.
  • Assist management in developing a project plan and selecting design alternatives.
  • Monitor deliverables and progress through regular communication with project members and stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and mitigate potential problems to keep projects on track.
  • Prepare progress reports and address issues affecting project outcomes.
  • Ensure projects align with corporate and customer plans and are completed on schedule and within budget.

Job description

Location: This person will work a hybrid onsite schedule. Travel: Will visit customer sites and company locations approximately 25% of the time. Coordinates and monitors customer facing technical projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and most importantly high customer satisfaction. This position includes project planning, resource allocation, estimating, execution, implementation and support. The individual will work closely with the customer, contractor, and internal resources to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed in support of project goals and objectives.

  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders, and customers in overseeing and coordinating project priorities, scope, resource requirements, and timing of deliverables
  • Assists management with evaluation and development of a project plan and participates in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions
  • Monitors project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project members and key stakeholders
  • Remains aware of any potential problems and works to mitigate any risks
  • Prepares reports on project progress and problems
  • Ensures projects are completed per corporate and customer plan
This job might be for you possess the following:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, combined with 2+ years of relevant project management work experience
  • Technical understanding or background with SCADA solutions
  • Computer proficiency in MS Project, Office and Visio
  • Ability to manage project financials, ensuring accurate revenue recognition forecasting and delivery in a profitable manner
  • Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers of various technical abilities, including experience working with contractors, consultants, and sales staff as required.
  • Ability to self-manage, multi-task and learn new skills quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Preferred Skills:
  • PMP Certification
  • Knowledge and experience in Power Monitoring Systems, control/automation industry (metering, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, PLCs, drives), energy management, power distribution, critical power applications
  • Experience working in a matrix managed environment
  • Experience with Critical Power applications in Data Center facilities
  • Knowledge and/or experience of competitor products and services
  • Knowledge and/or training in applicable OSHA regulations

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
