Job summary

The Civi Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale multi-family wood-frame construction projects on the South Shore. You will be the primary on-site representative from start to closeout, interfacing with clients and the construction team to drive safety, cost control, and schedule adherence.

You will manage permits, budgets, and vendor contracts while coordinating with the Field Operations Director to ensure design specs are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• At least 5+ years of Construction/Project Management experience in multi-family wood-frame construction.
• Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Timberline, MS Office, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site company representative for the project lifecycle.
• Oversee construction from initiation to closeout with a focus on safety, quality, budget, and scheduling.
• Manage drawings, contracts, and subcontractor activities; obtain permits and monitor timelines and costs.
• Lead stakeholder meetings and provide project updates to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Field Operations Director to ensure design specification compliance.
• Handle change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.

Job description

The Civi Group has partnered with a well-established commercial property development, acquisition, and construction firm. This company boasts extensive experience across multiple sectors including industrial, office, healthcare, warehouse/distribution, cold storage, multi-family, and retail markets, mainly focusing on the South Shore area. They are currently looking for a Project Manager to lead a medium to large scale multi-family construction projects.

This Project Manager will be the primary company representative on-site, overseeing the entire project lifecycle. You will serve as the main point of contact for both clients and the construction team, driving safety culture and making key decisions related to cost and project scheduling.

Compensation:

• Salary: Up to approximately $140K based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to perform all essential Project Manager job responsibilities
• Manage the entire construction process from initiation to closeout.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Oversee project drawings, contracts, and subcontractor activities.
• Obtain permits and monitor financials and timelines.
• Lead stakeholder meetings and provide project updates.
• Collaborate with the Field Operations Director to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Handle change orders, RFIs, and necessary documentation.
• Estimate and oversee project budgets.
• Manage bid reviews, scope trades, and negotiate contracts.

Skills & Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or any related field preferred.
• At least 5+ years of Construction / Project Management experience in multi-family wood-frame construction.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Timberline, and Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.
• Construction Supervisors License is preferred but not required.
