Job summary

The Quest Organization is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil/sitework construction in the Boston area. You will oversee projects from preconstruction to completion, coordinating with field teams, owners, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safety, timeliness, and cost control.

You will develop schedules, manage budgets, perform takeoffs and buyouts, and handle submittals, RFI’s, and change orders, while upholding OSHA safety standards and quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil, roadway, excavation, sitework, or infrastructure construction.
  • Experience with public works, DOT, or private site development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and engineering specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Experience with project management, scheduling, and job cost software.
  • Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree.
  • OSHA 30 certification and valid driver’s license.

  • Perform quantity takeoffs, contract negotiations, and project buyouts.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
  • Oversee material procurement and project logistics.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and track project costs.
  • Prepare and submit payment requisitions.
  • Manage project changes and ensure alignment with contract scope and requirements.

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking a Project Manager with experience in heavy civil, roadway, excavation, or site development construction to oversee projects from preconstruction through completion. The company specializes in large-scale public and private sitework projects.
