Position Summary:
The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for all contractual responsibilities on the project, including client communication, schedule, deliverables, documentation, document control, cost control, quality control, change management, supplier, and all on-site construction activities. This position requires close coordination with on- and off-site construction team, company management, contractors, suppliers, and the owner's representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a culture of safety on the job site with all direct team members, contractors, and sub-contractors.
- Establish and manage a quality program for the project, including but not limited to quality hold points during construction and sign off criteria.
- Coordinate work between contractors, suppliers, and owner's team.
- Prepare and maintain a detailed schedule for construction.
- Ensure tracking of all invoices, payments, change orders, and back charges.
- Manage project communications, transmittals, and routine project reporting.
- Ensure all requests for information are answered in a timely manner.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks to project performance related to safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Act as primary contact with the customer.
- Work hours as necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Regular, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with industrial project management.
- Must be familiar with construction safety and OSHA requirements.
- Must be detail oriented and demonstrate experience and knowledge of project management best practices.
- Must have excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and P6 (or similar scheduling software).
Physical Demands:
- Perform in an active construction environment.
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen.
- Frequently lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally life and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Access all points of a construction site in a wide range of work environments.
