We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross‑functional technical programs from planning through execution. This role is responsible for managing project roadmaps, milestones, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate brings strong technical fluency, disciplined project management practices, and the ability to align engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
General Tasks
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 10+ years of project management experience in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, software, infrastructure, or high‑technology environment.
Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities, shared resources, and interdependent deliverables.
Proficiency with MS Project or similar project planning tools, with the ability to develop schedules, track milestones, and manage dependencies.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms used to manage work, report progress, and present data.
Prior hands‑on experience in engineering, quality, manufacturing, software, systems, or a related technical discipline.
Experience working with globally distributed or cross‑cultural teams.
Up to 20% travel may be required to support project activities, business meetings, supplier engagement, or work with cross‑functional teams at other Novanta locations.
Ability to work in an office or manufacturing environment, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and using a computer.
The salary for this role will range from $135,000 to $165,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc. Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long‑term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
