Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Project Manager who develops and executes project plans for multiple simultaneous projects such as customer production programs, Lean event completion plans, and at times playing “fixer” to some troubled program. As a “Lead” Project Manager, also manage the project management team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (day‑to‑day)

Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, milestones, resource requirements, budget, and metrics.
  • Simultaneously manage typically 5 or more projects of varying size, type, and complexity, including customer production programs (involving both inhouse production processes, and outside processes), Lean event completion plans, and other strategic initiatives, which often span multiple of CDI’s 4 local sites, and at times involve other Re:Build entities elsewhere in the USA.
  • Coordinate efforts with Re:Build’s Program Management Office (PMO), where applicable.
  • Implement and maintain project governance structures appropriate to project scale and complexity.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams and coordinate activities across departments, driving accountability without direct report authority.

  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate appropriately with proposed solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify critical path activities and proactively address constraints and bottlenecks.
  • Understand and apply customer and industry standards and specifications.
  • Facilitate problem‑solving initiatives and drive teams toward resolution of technical and operational challenges.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders and team members, and with customers.

  • Conduct project reviews and capture lessons learned, and apply accordingly to subsequent projects.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor other project managers (direct reports).

  • Establish and maintain project management standards, processes, and best practices.
What You Bring

Three to five years of similar related experience

  • A college degree in a non‑technical discipline (e.g., BBA, BA, or BFA)
