Job summary

SSOE Group seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale industrial facilities. You will direct multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to align scope, schedule, budget, and quality from concept through startup.

The role requires 8+ years in design, 5+ years in project management, and a strong background in capital industrial projects, including automotive plants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture (registration preferred).
  • 8+ years in the design industry; 5+ years as a Project Manager.
  • Experience designing major capital industrial projects within an engineering/architecture firm.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and strategic stakeholders.
  • Develop project execution plans, resource strategies, and delivery approaches.

SSOE is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Industrial Facilities Design team. Locations available include Phoenix (AZ) and Austin (TX). This exciting role will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities for global industry leaders. From concept through startup, you will direct multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams responsible for creating high-tech, mission-critical, and power-intensive facilities that drive innovation and economic growth.

You will lead highly visible projects involving complex stakeholder coordination, sophisticated technical requirements, and fast-paced execution environments. Success means balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client expectations while delivering exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications
Qualifications You’ll Need on Day One
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture, or additional four years of experience in the engineering or construction field in lieu of a technical degree. Registration preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in the design industry preferred, with 5+ years as a Project Manager in an engineering or construction organization.
  • Managing the design of major capital industrial projects within an engineering or architecture consulting firm is required.
  • Experience in automotive plants projects is highly desired.
  • Strong experience in industrial/manufacturing plants projects.
  • Advanced working knowledge of contract management, pre‑design, pre‑construction, renovations, demolition, new construction, building systems/components, technology, and construction administration.
  • Experience with various disciplines, trades, and systems related to complex industrial facilities, with an emphasis on full project delivery.
  • Experience in the execution of multi‑office projects with remote teams.
  • Strong capabilities with building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in client‑facing roles and business development.
  • Ability to travel to project locations for short‑term visits to client sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport for potential project‑related international travel.
