Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced construction project manager to support our growing Higher Education business across Northern Virginia. You will manage all phases of CMI projects, provide technical leadership on constructability, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.

Responsibilities include leading preconstruction activities, developing QA and health & safety plans, and coordinating with owners, field staff, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
  • Previous experience leading higher education construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience developing cost estimates and construction schedules.

  • Apply extensive construction management experience to support project owners, field staff, and multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex technical and operational issues
  • Collaborate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to support project delivery, resolve technical issues, and ensure effective communication across all phases of the project
  • Exercise independent judgment in resolving technical and project management matters while operating with minimal supervision and broad administrative direction
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable regulations, quality standards, and AECOM policies and procedures

Job Description

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Previous experience leading higher education construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience developing cost estimates and construction schedules.
  • Experience leading preconstruction activities including development of quality assurance plans, health and safety plans, and relevant subcontracts.
  • Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 years of progressively responsible experience in construction and project management.
  • Demonstrated recent project and client experience in higher education.
  • Knowledge and experience with local contractors and subcontractors in the Northern Virginia region.

To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $105000 to $150000.
