Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a project manager to own the end-to-end Initial Order Process for series production as well as samples and prototypes for US customers. You will monitor launches, coordinate documentation, and ensure quality requirements are met.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in project management, strong communication, and SAP SD experience, with travel as needed. Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering/business/logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with MRP, logistics, material handling, packaging, and shipping

Your Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the end-to-end Initial Order Process for series production as well as sample and prototype launches, ensuring smooth execution and on-time delivery to the US customer.
• Monitor production and prototype/sample launches closely, providing clear status updates and keeping all stakeholders informed.
• Ensure that customer quality documentation requirements are met in close alignment with Corporate Quality.
• Coordinate the movement of required paperwork from goods receipt through quality review and into the creation of shipping documents for customers.
• Carry out stock allocation transactions in SAP when needed and support timely creation of delivery notes together with Customer Service.
• Prepare customer-specific packaging as required to support smooth and compliant shipments.
• Lead Industrial OEM product development projects by defining scope, costs, deliverables, benefits, plans, and schedules, while keeping progress on track.

Your Qualifications

Minimum:

• Associate degree in engineering, business, logistics, or a comparable field
• 2+ years of previous project management experience
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
• Experience with MRP, logistics, material handling, packaging, and shipping
• Working knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD)
• Self-directed problem solver who works effectively with minimal guidance
• Team-oriented and flexible, with a willingness to support a broad range of departmental tasks
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, logistics, or a comparable field
• Project Management certification
• 5+ years of previous project management experience
