Job summary

IMCO General Construction is offering a paid Project Management Intern position for Summer 2027. The role provides hands-on experience supporting project documentation, cost tracking, and meetings on active construction projects.

You will work with project managers, engineers, superintendents, and field crews to learn coordination and field operations. You’ll gain exposure to planning, scheduling, procurement, RFIs, and safety practices while developing communication and organizational skills in

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Interest in industrial and heavy civil construction.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow through.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Willingness to work on active construction sites.
• Available for full-time internship Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, daily reports, and meeting notes.
• Support material procurement, delivery tracking, and coordination with vendors and subcontractors.
• Help review plans, specifications, quantities, and project requirements.
• Assist with cost tracking, change order documentation, and schedule updates.
• Participate in project meetings and field walks to learn how construction activities are planned and executed.
• Support safety, quality control, and project closeout activities.
• Work with office and field teams to help resolve day‑to‑day project challenges.

This paid internship offers hands‑on experience in industrial and heavy civil construction, working alongside project managers, project engineers, superintendents, and field crews.

You’ll gain exposure to both project management and field operations, learning how teams coordinate work, manage costs, maintain schedules, and deliver safe, quality projects.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with project documentation, including submittals, requests for information (RFIs), daily reports, and meeting notes.
• Support material procurement, delivery tracking, and coordination with vendors and subcontractors.
