Bosch USA is seeking a Project Management Intern to assist the Project Manager with coordinating and leading high-level projects, ensuring performance and schedule targets while aligning with profitability goals. The role involves collaboration with sales, applications, estimating, and manufacturing to capture customer requirements and produce timely order acknowledgments.

The intern will help maintain project plans, track critical paths, and support design changes, meetings, and records.

Formación

• Must be enrolled in an engineering or business study program pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree with at least one semester completed
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Basic PC skills to track project status; strong Microsoft Excel experience (PPT, Word, and MS Project also)
• Ability to integrate in an international project team
• A minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum 25 hours a week

Responsabilidades

• Support the Project Manager in coordinating and leading high-level projects to meet performance and schedule expectations and internal profitability objectives
• Work with sales, applications, estimating, and manufacturing to define customer project requirements and deliver an order acknowledgement
• Develop and maintain understanding of project objectives, critical paths, schedules, and cost requirements; participate in discussions on design changes and project reviews
• Participate in project meetings; assign responsibilities and motivate team members to meet deadlines; maintain an OPL and take minutes
• Maintain complete project history and records, and keep project folders up to date
• Assist in developing project management processes and tools (team structure, schedules, progress reports, forecasting and tracking)
• Occasional offsite meetings in Warren, MI and other locations; some travel may be possible

Job Description
The Project Management Intern is primarily responsible for supporting the Project Manager in providing project coordination and leadership to successfully complete high level projects to meet customers’ expectations of performance and schedule, as well as, internal objectives of profitability.

• Work with sales, applications, estimating, and manufacturing on high level projects to define the customer’s project requirements and deliver an order acknowledgement that meets the customer’s needs.
• Support in developing and maintaining clear understanding of project objectives, critical paths, schedule & cost requirements. Support discussions including; design changes, project review, questions & concerns.
• Participate in project meetings; assign responsibilities to team members as needed. Motivate and challenge team members to ensure deadlines are met. Maintain an OPL and take minutes for weekly meetings.
• Assist to maintain complete record of the project history including any changes in design concept, project scope and the related cost impact. Responsible for maintaining project folders with up to date documents and status reports.
• Assist with developing Project management processes and tools (team structure, schedule formats, progress reports, financial reports, presentations, forecasting & tracking tools).
• Offsite meetings required (Warren, MI and other locations). Some travel may be possible.
