Job summary

Launch That, a digital marketing company based in downtown Orlando, seeks a Project Management Intern to assist planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. You will support the PM team, coordinate with external contributors, and help keep tasks and schedules on track while ensuring quality standards.

This four-month, part-time internship runs up to 29 hours per week with on-site collaboration Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support PM and project management activities.
  • Coordinate with external contributors for content assignments.
  • Create task assignments for team members.
  • Adjust team members' schedules as needed.
  • Track project progress and update status reports, including overdue tasks.
  • Help ensure deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
  • Use AI tools within security guidelines to improve efficiency and decisions.
  • Assist in updating website pages.
  • Handle additional tasks to support department and company objectives.
  • Keep project information up to date across multiple applications.
  • Perform daily risk management and provide analysis to the PM.
  • Adhere to standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and meetings to grow PM skills.

Job description

The Project Management Intern is an essential part of our project management team, assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects within our organization.

Day-to-Day
  • Support PM and project management activities.

  • Coordinate with external contributors for content assignments.

  • Create task assignments for team members.

  • Adjust team member’s schedules as needed.

  • Track project progress, follow up and update project status reports regularly including overdue assignments.

  • Support the team in ensuring that project deliverables meet the specified quality standards and adhere to project requirements.

  • Utilize AI tools within company security parameters, where appropriate, to improve efficiency, support decision-making, and enhance work quality.

    • This technology is designed to optimize capabilities, not replace human judgment or critical decision-making.

  • Assist in updating pages on the website.

  • Perform additional tasks as required to support departmental and company objectives.

  • Ensure all project information is up to date in multiple applications.

  • Perform daily risk management to minimize project risks and provide analysis to the PM.

  • Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and best practices.

  • Actively participate in project management training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to enhance your project management skills and knowledge.

Bonus Qualifications
  • A technical background with development and marketing in a professional or academic setting.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and project management software tools (e.g., Wrike, Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana).

  • Experience with AI platforms (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini)

At Launch That, you will gain practical experience in project management while contributing to real-world projects. You will work closely with the project manager and team members to support the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Launch That is a digital marketing company based in downtown Orlando. Since 2007, we have built high performing digital brands that connect people to valuable resources.

This part-time internship runs for a 4-month term, offering up to 29 hours of work per week. The position pays $14.00 per hour, which will increase to $15.00 per hour in September to stay aligned with Florida’s minimum wage guidelines. Designed as a hybrid role, it includes on-site collaboration from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility of remote work on Fridays.
