This paid 13-week internship emphasizes learning fundamentals of contracts, safety, change orders, budgets, and jobsite visits. Ideal candidates are enrolled in Construction Management, ready to work in-office 40 hours per week May–August

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program pursuing Construction Management; incoming Junior or Senior.
  • In-office 40 hours/week May–Aug ’27; ability to work on-site.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Bluebeam and/or Accubid is a plus.
  • Previous work experience in construction or customer service preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with daily administrative tasks.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation and quality files.
  • Assist with pricing change orders and project budgets.
  • Shadow Assistant Project Managers and attend jobsite visits.
  • Learn PM fundamentals: contracts, safety, change orders, and scheduling.

FZ is looking for aConstruction Project ManagementIntern for our award winning Nashville, TN office to join our 2027 Summer Intern program. Our interns will be responsible for supporting their assigned department on day‑to‑day duties as well as working on an assigned project for the duration of this 13‑week internship. The internship will also include developmental opportunities such as visiting construction jobsites to learn more about FZ’s business, networking opportunities, a training session to familiarize themselves with their own personal workstyle as well as how to work better with others, taking part in National Intern Day and much more!

Key Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and is pursuing a degree in Construction Management – incoming Junior or Senior status for Fall ’27 semester - preferred
  • Ability to work in-office 40 hours per week from May-August ’27 - required
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience with Bluebeam and/or Accubid a plus!
  • Previous work experience in a construction setting, customer service (retail, food service, volunteer), or as a construction management intern - preferred
