Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a Project Manager to provide project management and material support for Planning Yard Services contracts. You will collaborate with PYS Engineering to identify material requirements and coordinate funding with Class Platform managers, Supply Chain, Estimating, Pricing and Contracts.

Qualifications

• Must have: high school diploma and 7 years of experience; or bachelor's with 3 years; or master's with 1 year.
• Nice to have: Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Post Delivery Support or Supply Chain experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access; proficient in ARAS and IFS; strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management responsibility and material support to PYS contracts.
• Identify material requirements with PYS Engineering to support planned Ship Alteration installations.
• Collaborate with Class Platform managers, Supply Chain Management, Estimating and Pricing and Contracts to obtain funding for material procurement.
• Work with warehouse to receive, kit and ship material to support Availabilities.
• Provide daily management and statusing of assigned programs.
• Serve as liaison between project management, planning, project team (including the customer), and line management.
• Review and present status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet schedule, quality, cost and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Monitor project progress and intervene/ problem solve with various HII disciplines, project managers, line managers and the Customer when material issues arise.

The Role

Project Management responsibility and material support to Planning Yard Services (PYS) contracts. Must Have

Nice to Have

Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Post Delivery Support or Supply Chain experience. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access required. Proficient in other Microsoft Office Suite programs (i.e. PowerPoint, Word), ARAS and IFS. Strong analytical skills with the ability to plan and effectively manage work. Understanding and/or exposure to post delivery processes, SCM/Material management, or Change Management. Ability to logically express ideas in oral and written formats. Able to work within team environment as well as independently and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
