Brinker Group in Detroit, MI is seeking a Project Intern to support the project team on active construction projects. You will assist on submittals, RFIs, permitting, bid packages, and procurement, while helping maintain schedules and daily project communications.
You will learn to coordinate with the field and office staff, review drawings, and ensure safety practices on site. This internship offers hands-on exposure to project management processes.
General Position Summary
The Project Intern assists and supports the Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent on their assigned project. As a Project Intern, you will get the opportunity to perform some of the critical day-to-day tasks such as the distribution of project correspondence, submitting and reviewing shop drawings, maintaining and updating the project schedule, and other crucial task that are involved in running a successful project.

This job may be performed in the office or on the jobsite and requires frequent sitting (often working on a computer), frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. Due to computer usage, there may be repetitive motions of the hands and wrists. He/she must be able to navigate the jobsite and is expected to be able to comply with all safety regulations in the office and on the jobsite.
