Job summary

KPI Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Finance Analyst to serve as the FP&A link at the project level. You will monitor budgets, track spend, reconcile billing, and forecast performance while communicating financial data clearly to senior management.

This cross-functional role requires collaboration with PMO, software, and accounting teams. A CPA or equivalent would be a plus; strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience with Percent of Completion accounting in project-based environments.
• Strong understanding of project management best practices.
• Ability to translate financial data for non-financial personnel.
• Quick learner with aptitude for new software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to ensure timely, accurate flow of project financial data into company systems.
• Advise PMO on project structure and documentation within the ERP system.
• Own Project Progress Projections and facilitate cost projections into forecasts.
• Consult with Accounting and PMO to identify and resolve project finance issues.
• Assess project risk and analyze variances against budget.
• Forecast data and project budgets; monitor financial status of projects.
• Attend PMO meetings and report to management on financial matters.
• Conduct project closeout reviews to analyze performance and data accuracy.
• Monitor milestones and Accounts Receivable for timely invoicing.
• Track spend against budget, including ROI and debt-to-income analysis.

KPI is seeking an experienced account manager, who is innovative, collaborative, and motivated. The Account Manager is responsible for retaining and growing existing accounts as well as supporting the System Sales team with securing LTS revenue in new deals. This roll will work collaboratively with solutions, engineering, and support to define the best solution for the client.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Finance Analyst represents the FP&A department at the project level, serving as the financial link between the Project Management Office (PMO), Software, and Accounting. This role owns the financial structure of active projects — monitoring budgets, tracking spend, reconciling billing, and forecasting project performance — while ensuring project financial data flows accurately and on time between teams.

This is a highly cross-functional role: the Project Finance Analyst is expected to be conversant on the financial status of every major project at any given time, and to communicate that information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, including senior management.

• Partner with Project Managers to ensure timely, accurate flow of project financial data into company systems and reporting.
• Advise the PMO on the optimum structure and classification of projects and project documentation within the ERP system.
• Own Project Progress Projections (PPPs) — facilitate the flow of cost projections from Project Managers into company-wide forecasts.
• Consult with Accounting and PMO to identify and resolve project finance-related issues.
• Assess project risk and analyze program variances against budget.
• Forecasting data and project budgets
• Stay current on the financial status, major concerns, and general progress of all major projects; report fluently on these topics to management.
• Attend PMO meetings and interact regularly with Project Managers and management on project financial matters.
• Conduct project closeout reviews to analyze and report on project performance and confirm data accuracy.
• Monitor project milestones and Accounts Receivable to verify timely, accurate invoicing.
• Track and evaluate project spend against budget, including ROI and debt-to-income ratio analysis.

• 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience with Percent of Completion accounting, commonly found in construction, engineering consulting, or other project-based environments.
• Thorough understanding of project management best practices.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and translate financial data for non-financial personnel.
