Job summary

RAE Security seeks a Project Financial Analyst to partner with the accounting team on accurate financial reporting with a focus on project reporting and inventory analytics. You will analyze data, support forecasting, and provide actionable recommendations to improve productivity and reduce costs while enabling automated processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Netsuite experience with report writing and query writing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, scheduling, and project profitability.
• Ability to produce project financial reports for internal and client reporting.
• Collaborative with sales and project management teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support on projects, working with sales and project management on costing and performance.
• Analyze inventory data and produce reports with key metrics.
• Set up and format project financial forecasts for internal and client reporting.
• Maintain professional relationships internally and externally.
• Assist with development of contract abstracts.
• Assist with audits and respond as directed.
• Ensure timely accounts receivable and payable management.
• Manage the project financial closeout process.
• Review WIP on projects and explain variances and balances.
• Prepare comparative analyses as directed by management.

Project Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting at RAE Security with a focus on project reporting and inventory analytics. This person will provide Management with analysis and recommendations for increasing productivity, reducing costs and automated processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support in connection with projects. Work closely with the sales and project management teams on project costing and performance, identifying areas of concern and making recommendations for improvements.
• Analyze Inventory data and produce reports, including key metrics on usage, turns, etc.
• Sets up and properly formats project financial forecasts to meet both the internal team and client reporting needs
• Develops and maintains positive professional relationships both internally and externally
• Assists with the development of contract abstracts
• Assists with internal and external audits while responding as directed
• Ensures timely managementof accounts receivable and payables
• Manage the project financial closeout process
• Reviews Work in Process (WIP) on assigned projects and thoroughly understands and explains variances and balances
• Compile comparative analysisas directed by Management
