Job summary

The New Terminal One’s Project Finance Associate will play a key role in modeling, financing strategy, and decision support for JFK NTO. The role interfaces with executives, lenders, investors, and rating agencies to steer capital allocation and risk management.

Based on onsite work at JFK Airport, you will build long-term financial models, assess financing options, and prepare communications for boards and stakeholders to inform strategic decisions and ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, investment banking, corporate finance, infrastructure advisory, or public-private partnership projects.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills.
  • Strong understanding of project finance structures, debt financing, and capital markets.
  • Experience preparing materials for boards, lenders, investors, and rating agencies.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain long-term project finance models.
  • Develop and evaluate financing structures, refinancing opportunities, and capital allocation strategies.
  • Conduct complex scenario analyses related to project schedules, costs, traffic, revenue, financing, and liquidity.
  • Coordinate interaction with accounting team to ensure consistency of modeling with financial reporting.
  • Develop strategic analyses, business cases, and recommendations to support management decision-making and long-term objectives.
  • Develop financial analyses and presentations required for lenders, investors, rating agencies, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
  • Support debt issuances, amendments, refinancings, and other financing transactions.
  • Coordinate due diligence workstreams and financing-related information requests.
  • Evaluate financing alternatives and prepare recommendations for management.
  • Monitor financing agreement requirements, covenant compliance, and reporting obligations.
  • Identify and assess financial risks related to project costs, schedule, revenue, and funding assumptions.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies and support implementation of risk management initiatives.
  • Monitor project costs, funding requirements, budget changes, and key project milestones.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of schedule, cost, scope, and commercial developments on project economics and financing needs.
  • Guide development of project forecasts and analyze variances against budget, plan, and financing assumptions
  • Ensure interaction with financial planning & analysis team to establish consistency between model forecasting and near-term budgeting exercise
  • Coordinate with project teams to identify risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers and recommend actions to support project objectives
  • Prepare board-level presentations, executive summaries, and decision-support materials.
  • Develop materials for shareholder meetings, lender updates, and rating agency reviews.
  • Present financial analyses, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear and actionable business insights.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial models, reporting processes, and analytical tools.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for project finance analyses and stakeholder reporting.
