Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking an Associate for the Project Finance Group to model debt and tax equity, assist deal teams through closing conditions, and support capital raising efforts.

You will prepare data rooms, marketing materials, and coordinate with appraisers, independent engineers, insurance and other consultants to advance financings for our renewables projects. This role requires an undergraduate degree and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, M&A, or similar position.
• Experience working in complex financial models.
• Diligent and detail oriented; able to deliver accurate results from complex modeling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to internal and external counterparts.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Extensive financial modeling to structure debt and tax equity.
• Coordinate data room readiness for third-party capital providers.
• Prepare marketing materials for debt and tax equity RFPs.
• Support negotiating market-leading financing structures with financial analysis.
• Coordinate with appraisers, engineers, insurers, and consultants on financings.
• Manage construction financing draws with internal/external stakeholders.
• Assist in pre/post-closing interest rate hedging responsibilities.
