Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation in Tampa, FL seeks a Project Executive to lead major multifamily construction ventures. You will coach project teams, own full project performance including financial oversight, safety and schedule, and guide subcontractor relations to ensure owner satisfaction.

With 10–12 years of industry experience, you will lead associates, drive continuous improvement, and support business development through advisory input for winning projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or construction management.
• 10–12 years related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of the commercial construction industry.
• Demonstrated history of successful teambuilding.
• Strong leadership and ability to work with confidential information.
• LEED AP or LEED Green Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and consulting for assigned projects with Associates in the project team.
• Full performance responsibility for a project or group of projects, including financial oversight, quality, safety, schedule, and risk management.
• Direct management responsibility for Associates on the project team(s).
• Mentor early-career project managers, project and field engineers, superintendents and other professionals; support talent development.
• Support and initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide consultation to project development team members to help win potential projects.

Qualifications:

As a Project Executive your duties will include:

• Coaching and consulting for assigned projects with functional responsibility for Associates in the project team.
• Full performance responsibility for a project or group of projects, including but not limited to: financial oversight, construction quality, ensuring owner satisfaction, safety performance, oversight of quality metrics and quality performance, oversight of subcontractor selection, subcontract terms and subcontractor relations, oversight of project documentation and project schedule, and risk management.
• Direct management responsibility for Associates on the project team(s).
• Working with early-career project managers, project and field engineers, superintendents, and other construction management professionals, supporting career development activities to grow internal talent pipeline.
• Supporting and at times initiating continuous improvement initiatives.
• Providing consultation to project development team members to support efforts to win potential projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) from an accredited four-year College or University in business, engineering or construction management
• 10-12 years related experience
• Advanced knowledge of the commercial construction industry and construction operations principles is required.
• Demonstrated history of successful teambuilding is required.
• Strong leadership, management, computer skills, ability to work with confidential information, and attention to detail is required.
• LEED AP or LEED Green Associate is preferred
