Intermountain Electric, Inc. is seeking a Project Executive to lead multiple large-scale, mission-critical data center projects, aligning resources with strategic priorities and delivering exceptional safety, quality, financial performance, and client experience.

This role is both strategic and hands-on—shaping processes, mentoring leaders, ensuring policy and safety compliance, and contributing to company-wide initiatives that strengthen culture and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive reviews of project plans and contracts with Project Managers, including scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, risk, and cost-to-complete for complex, mission-critical data center projects.
  • Assign priorities, set clear expectations, and guide teams to maximize efficiency while upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risk, resolve issues decisively, and adapt plans to minimize disruption.
  • Walk job sites regularly with Project Managers to reinforce a visible commitment to safety, quality, and team engagement.
  • Conduct structured monthly project reviews with each team, ensuring alignment on safety performance, change management, schedule adherence, financial health, and quality outcomes.
  • Implement, model, and enforce quality control and safety procedures that reflect our uncompromising commitment to doing the work the right way.
  • Partner with internal teams, clients, and trade partners to proactively address quality or safety concerns.
  • Monitor construction progress through regular status meetings and reviews, ensuring projects remain aligned with expectations for schedule, administration, profitability, and field execution.
  • Collaborate daily with Project Managers, vendors, and the purchasing team to confirm materials and logistics support uninterrupted, high-quality work.
  • Provide executive-level oversight of project financials, ensuring manpower planning and overhead schedules accurately reflect current and future needs.
  • Conduct financial, contractual, and legal risk analysis, developing mitigation strategies that protect the company and our partners.
  • Evaluate cost and schedule impacts of design or scope changes and support Project Managers in communicating proactively and transparently with stakeholders.
  • Provide steady leadership, vision, and mentorship to multiple project teams, cultivating trust, accountability, and engagement.
  • Partner with Project Managers to address personnel, client, or project challenges—bringing ingenuity and sound judgment to complex situations.
  • Develop future leaders through coaching, feedback, and targeted development opportunities that spark growth and excellence.
  • Foster a culture where teams feel supported, challenged, and proud of their work.

Project Executive

The Project Executive plays a pivotal role in advancing our mission and living our values. What You'll Do
