Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services in the United States is seeking a motivated Project Estimator II with 6-10 years of experience to join our project estimating team. You will help prepare and manage cost estimates for multiple projects across a diverse portfolio including wind, solar, energy storage, and transmission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for our projects.
• Perform conceptual engineering design and develop preliminary construction plans to support estimating scope quantification.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
• Perform value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimating processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to account for potential project uncertainties.
• Present cost estimates and value engineering options to senior management, project stakeholders, and clients.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure the best value.
• Track project costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle, updating estimates to reflect changes in scope, design, or market conditions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all estimating activities.

Job Summary

We are looking for motivated Project Estimator II to join our project estimating team. You will help prepare and manage cost estimates for several projects. You will focus on accuracy, feasibility, and agreement on organizational goals. We offer an excellent opportunity for growth within the field of project estimating. Daily responsibilities include leading and preparing estimates, the development of pricing models, and evaluating new technological innovations in the industry. Our team also works on a large portfolio of technologies. This portfolio includes wind, utility scale solar, distributed solar, energy storage, transmission and distribution lines, substations, water treatment, 5G & fiber, hydrogen, pipelines, and fossil generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for our projects.

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $30.00 - $35.00.
