Job summary

Fortis Construction, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience on live construction projects. The role involves shadowing on-site teams and acting as a liaison among subcontractors, design staff and management.

You will assist with procurement, document control, RFI management, change orders and safety audits while developing professional communication and organizational skills on a busy construction site.

Responsibilities

PEs are responsible for owning specific scopes of a construction project from the time drawings are issued through subcontractor buyout, construction, startup, commissioning and turnover to the owner. The role will involve procurement, document control, submittal management, Request For Information (RFI) management, change order management, contracts administration, issue resolution, safety auditing, and support of field coordination.
