Job summary

Subsea 7 in Houston, TX is offering a 10-week summer Project Engineer Intern position for engineering students to gain hands-on experience in installation, mobilization, and demobilization activities.

The intern will join project teams to provide engineering support, plan scopes in the office and on-site, and may mobilize offshore equipment for live projects aboard Subsea 7’s construction vessels.

Qualifications

• Become familiar with Subsea 7 BMS documents related to installation aids.
• Become familiar with applicable industry codes and standards.
• Mobilization Procedure Task Plan and Checklist generation
• Lift Planning
• Mobilization schedule planning
• Equipment Procurement
• Perform engineered lift rigging design.
• Perform engineered seafastening design.
• Intern will be shadowing an experienced Project Engineer.
• Exact tasks will be determined closer to the time based on Project Requirements

Responsibilities

• The Project Engineer Intern will be integrating into one or more project teams to provide engineering support on installation, mobilization, and demobilization activities.
• This intern position will involve planning scopes in the office but also working on site mobilizing offshore supply vessel with equipment to go offshore.
• There may also be opportunities to work offshore on Subsea 7’s construction vessels on live projects.

This will be a 10-week program during the summer that provides a great opportunity to come and work with us; learn about what we do and what it means to work for Subsea 7. The prospective interns should apply for the specific work tasks that most suit their interests/career goals.
