Pape-Dawson Engineers in Plano, TX is seeking a Project Engineer experienced in civil design to lead technical deliverables from concept through final design.

You will mentor staff, coordinate across disciplines, interact with clients and agencies, and ensure quality, constructability, schedule, and budget compliance on water and wastewater projects.

A PE license and ABET-accredited degree are required, with 4+ years of experience and proficiency in design software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with applicable engineering design and analysis software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and produce complete engineering designs for plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and estimates.
  • Evaluate design alternatives balancing quality, constructability, cost, and schedule.
  • Coordinate technical work with project managers, disciplines, subconsultants, and external stakeholders.
  • Review and oversee work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
  • Perform hydraulic modeling and system analyses for water and wastewater projects.
  • Prepare regulatory permitting submittals and review construction submittals.

Job Description:Project EngineerOverviewThe Project Engineer is a licensed Professional Engineer responsible for leading technical design and engineering execution on projects within their assigned service area. This role takes full ownership of technical deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
