Position Overview

Our Tarrytown, NY office is seeking a Project Engineer with experience in wastewater treatment and pumping design. You will collaborate with professional engineers on Water and Wastewater projects in the New York and New Jersey areas.

Responsibilities include:

1. Client interaction, project development, and project management
2. Planning, design, and execution of wastewater pumping, treatment, and piping systems, including report writing, development of design plans and cost estimates, hydraulic evaluations, and permit applications
3. Managing multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers
4. Design using AutoCAD and Revit
5. Coordination with CADD technicians

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

1. A Bachelor of Science degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline; an M.S. degree is a plus
2. 5-10 years of experience in water and wastewater projects, including planning, design, and cost estimation
3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical report writing
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and/or Primavera P6; knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software is a plus; experience with AutoCAD and Revit
5. Registration as a Professional Engineer in New York or the ability to obtain it within 12 months
