Job summary

The Thrasher Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our Canton, OH Water Resource team. You will apply your civil engineering knowledge to design residential and commercial water resources projects and collaborate with a team of professionals.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, 4–8 years of experience, and an Ohio PE or ability to obtain one. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong communication skills are valued in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ohio PE license, or the ability to obtain.
• 4–8 years of industry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create technical drawings and plans for water resource projects.
• Provide technical support during construction and review plans.
• Prepare cost estimates for water resource projects.
• Develop engineering solutions for water resource projects.
• Complete environmental permits.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Civil Project Engineer with experience and enthusiasm to join our Canton, OH Water Resource team. As a member of the team, you will use your engineering knowledge to help design residential and commercial water resources projects. You will work on a variety of projects and collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Create technical drawing and plans for permitting and construction of water resource projects which include design, layout, grading, drainage and erosion and sediment controls.
• Provide technical support during construction activities, including reviewing plans.
• Prepare cost estimates for all water resource projects.
• Develop Engineering Solutions for water resource projects
• Complete Environmental Permits
• Collaborate with engineers to design optimal plans for clients.
• Work with construction inspection personnel, as required, to ensure that contracted work accomplishes the intent of the design.
• Operate independently within a deadline driven industry.

What You'll Bring

Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.

Licensure: Ohio PE license, or ability to obtain is preferred.

Experience: 4-8 years of industry experience

Software: Microsoft Office, AutoCad Civil 3D is a plus.

Skills: Strong time management and communication skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively
