Spire Solutions, a subsidiary of The Weitz Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to support a data center construction project in Council Hill, OK. You will manage preconstruction, planning, buyout, and closeout tasks, coordinating with the project team to keep schedule and budget on track.

The role requires onsite work in Council Hill for the 2+ year duration, with full-time travel and a relocation package provided. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as project engineer or internship in construction, or structural steelwork.
• Industry-related degree preferred; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Experience with data center construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, update, maintain, and post construction documents/drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to complete RFIs.
• Review submittals for accuracy against plans and specs.
• Assist inspections, compliance audits, and non-conformance log.
• Monitor MEP material and equipment delivery status.
• Maintain and distribute accurate project logs.
• Understand scope for subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Track subcontractor change requests and draft change orders.
• Support project schedule management.
• Gather closeout information and assist with warranty process.

Spire Solutions is hiring a Project Engineer to join our team at a data center project site in Council Hill, OK! The Project Engineer will be responsible for several functions throughout the duration of a project including preconstruction, planning, buyout, management, and closeout. This role actively monitors project status and informs the project team of any issues that may impact the project schedule and/or budget. The Project Engineer role is a great opportunity for those looking to continue to grow their career in the project management field.

This role will be required to work onsite in Council Hill, OK for the duration of the project, which is expected to last approximately 2+ years.

What You’ll Do

• Organize, review, update, maintain, and post construction documents/drawings
• Collaborate with project team to complete requests for information (RFI)
• Review submittals and other project documents for accuracy against plans and specifications
• Assist in preparing inspections, compliance audits, and the non‑conformance log
• Monitor steel, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) material and equipment delivery status
• Maintain and distribute accurate project logs
• Understand scope of work to be included in subcontracts and/or purchase order agreements
• Track subcontractor requests for change; solicit pricing and draft change orders within delegated authority
• Understand and assist with project schedule management
• Obtain closeout information, gather punch list items, prepare as‑built drawings, and assist with warranty process

What We’re Looking For

• Experience:
  • Previous experience either in a project engineer role, internship in the construction industry, or structural steelwork experience is required
  • Industry related degree highly preferred, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience with data center construction is a plus
• Skills:
  • High level of initiative and problem‑solving skills

• Technology:
  • Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to learn specific job‑related software upon hire
• Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to be a full‑time traveler for the company and work on assigned job site for the duration of the project(s). A relocation package will be provided.
  • Willing to be located on the job site in Council Hill, OK for 2+ years
