Job summary

LVI Associates in Atlanta, GA is partnering with a growing civil engineering firm to recruit a Project Engineer focused on transportation infrastructure and roadway design.

The role requires a PE license (GA) or eligibility within 3 months, 5–10 years of experience, and proficiency with MicroStation/ORD. You will lead design efforts for public-sector projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • PE license in Georgia or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
  • 5–10 years of transportation design experience with hands-on plan preparation for public agency projects.
  • GDOT experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, HCM, and ADA/US Access Board requirements.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, GEOPAK, InRoads, and/or ORD.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

With a strong backlog of public-sector transportation work and a reputation for delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions, our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join its team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transportation design professional who wants to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects while working in a flexible, collaborative environment that values technical excellence and professional growth.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Producing civil engineering design plans for transportation and roadway projects.
  • Collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality designs on schedule and within budget.

The Project Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia, or the ability to obtain Georgia licensure within three months of hire.
  • 5-10 years of transportation design experience, including hands‑on plan preparation for public agency projects.
  • Experience working on DOT transportation projects; GDOT experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of transportation design standards and guidelines, including AASHTO, MUTCD, HCM, and ADA/US Access Board requirements.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, GEOPAK, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD) in transportation design environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented setting.
