Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC seeks a Project Engineer – Thermal Management for Utility Scale Energy Storage to support design through commissioning on a 1-year contract (W-2). You will define scope, provide engineering oversight, and work with cross-disciplinary teams to maximize BESS performance.

Responsibilities include evaluating design aspects, preparing thermal management scopes, on-site commissioning, and collaborating with Engineers of Record and suppliers to ensure system

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate design aspects of major components for utility-scale energy storage projects.
• Prepare technical scopes of work for thermal management studies and designs for contract documents.
• Support projects from conception through commissioning, including on-site commissioning activities.
• Provide engineering guidance to project teams and oversee external Engineers of Record.
• Collaborate with suppliers on equipment sizing, controls, technology compatibility, and integration.
• Partner with multi-disciplined teams on problem solving, system integration, and process improvement.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and track emerging technologies.
