HX5, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer (Exercise) at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role focuses on developing procedures, assembling and testing hardware, and coordinating with test facilities for external evaluations.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering with 2–5 years of experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A 9/80 work schedule and full-time employment are offered with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school.
• 2–5 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with test procedure development.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Generate essential paperwork such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports (DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP).
• Maintain baseline test configuration and document changes.
• Generate assembly and test procedures.
• Assemble and test hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware and rework as needed.
• Design, assemble, and evaluate test fixtures.
• Coordinate with test facilities and document external tests (EMI, Acoustic, Vibration, Thermal Cycle).
• Place and track procurements.
• Generate verification docs and review design memos/test reports.
