TEEMA in Charlotte, NC seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineer to design solid waste and site development projects, including master plans, drawings, and specs. You will perform stormwater modeling, leachate analysis, and pipe sizing, while preparing reports and permitting documents.
The role involves supporting projects from concept to construction, managing schedules and budgets, and mentoring junior staff. A PE is preferred and 5–10 years of experience is expected.
You will work on new, active, and closed solid waste facilities, tackling a wide range of challenges that blend civil and environmental engineering. Projects include site grading, stormwater management, leachate collection and treatment, renewable energy systems, and organic waste management, providing meaningful variety and long-term technical growth.
Design solid waste and site development projects, including master plans, drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates
Perform detailed engineering analyses such as stormwater modeling, leachate generation and pipe sizing, slope stability, and compaction
Prepare engineering reports, studies, and permitting documents
Support projects from concept through construction, including bidding and construction administration
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
Participate in proposal development and client support
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
5-10 years of relevant engineering experience
PE preferred; EIT on track to licensure considered
Experience in solid waste, land development, or related civil projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
