Job summary

EXP is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Administrator to join our Transportation Construction Services team in Florida. You will provide leadership, oversight, and construction engineering administration on transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery and FDOT compliance.

You will manage CEI construction administration, direct staff, prepare estimates, and maintain project documentation while coordinating with FDOT representatives, contractors, and consultants.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management required or equivalent.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience on relevant transportation projects.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management may substitute for one year of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent if no engineering degree.
• At least eight (8) years of CEI, roadway, or bridge construction experience if no degree.
• FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification preferred.
• CTQP Final Estimates Level II and CTQP Quality Control Manager certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all phases of CEI construction administration.
• Direct and assign work to administrative and field staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance on transportation construction projects.
• Prepare, review, and manage progress and final estimates.
• Exercise independent judgment to resolve project issues.
• Ensure FDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and construction records.
• Communicate effectively with FDOT representatives, contractors, consultants, and team members.

What your experience looks like

Candidates with a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management:
